The Chicago National Association of Dance Masters is dedicated to promoting professional, quality dance education by providing opportunities for continued education in the techniques and methods of dance, updated curriculum and certification for the instruction of dance. The Association serves as a conduit for information affecting dance educators and their profession.

The advantages of membership in CNADM are many -- with continuing educational opportunities, support and networking with peers, and an opportunity to exchange ideas and information. CNADM membership also includes:
- reduced rates for all workshops and association dance manuals;
- accreditation from our highly respected dance association;
- the opportunity to receive continuing education units;
- regular newsletters containing the latest news of interest to dance educators;
- scholarship opportunities for your most talented students;
- discounted fees for licensing from ASCAP, BMI and SESAC;
- a free video of all Workshop choreography and music CD-ROM for those in attendance; and
- participation in the Student Honors Program.

Members shall be admitted to the Association under the following conditions:
- that they be 18 years of age;
- that they have been engaged as a dance teacher or assistant, or equivalent qualifications, for at least two years;
- that they pass the required membership examination; and
- that they agree to adhere to the standards and code of ethics of CNADM.

consist of a basic competency test covering Ballet, Jazz and Tap. The applicant is required to correctly complete 75% of the exam in order to pass. Examinations are given at the Summer Workshop in Chicago. All applicants wishing to take the exam must contact the Education Director no later than 10 days in advance of any test that is to be taken. Having successfully passed the required examination, the applicant must be accepted by the general membership at the open business meeting.

can be achieved by members in good standing through attendance at Training Schools, Conventions and Weekend Workshops and properly registering their attendance with the Education Director. Attendees may begin working toward certification prior to becoming a member, but only members can be certified.

Application Fee $20
Annual Dues $100
(An educational rebate of $20 is applied to the dues of those members who attended any CNADM workshop in the previous year.)
