Michael Foley is considered a master teacher in the field of modern dance, and has been teaching and choreographing internationally for over 25 years. He has taught workshops and master classes at over 100 universities, dance festivals and private studios around the globe. Michael’s work has been commissioned by major international dance companies from the U.S., Mexico, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, Cuba, Panama, the Dominican Republic, and by the Cirque du Soleil organization. He is the recipient of a Fulbright Award, a Kennedy Center/American Theater Festival Award, and was the Ruth Page Visiting Artist at Harvard University. Michael currently divides his time between Paris, France where he has been directing a major study abroad program for college-age dancers since 2007, and the University of South Florida, where he is a Professor of Dance. He received his MFA in Dance from the University of Washington.
